Superior Propane is Canada’s leading and reliable propane provider. We are seeking a full time Yard Worker to join the Belleville, Ontario team. Reporting directly to the Market or Field Operations Manager, the Yard Worker is a multi-faceted role that will respond to the changing needs of the territory and is responsible for: Delivering, loading and unloading propane into the bulk truck and delivering the product to end use containers and maintaining the territories yard, facility, assets and inventory.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers. Initiate and conduct the asset verification process. 
  • Leverage technology by utilizing the On Board Truck Computers (OBTC) to: 
    • Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing 
    • Accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered 
    • Accurately complete and submit DTR  
  • Repair, test, evacuate, fill and paint cylinders and tanks, as well as risers meters and hoses for a clean and professional presentation when installed at the customer’s site.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly yard ensuring that tanks and inventory are organized.
  • Manage and control inventory, ensuring assets are accurately logged into or inventory within JDE EnterpriseOne.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving and unload the rail cars and trucks as needed. Assemble minor appliances as needed and manage and coordinate any administrative paperwork and documentation as needed. 

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • High School completion plus a specialized technical or business course. 
  • Minimum one (1) year experience. 
  • Provincial certificate to operate a bulk plant 
  • Knowledge of B149 code. 
  • TDG and WHMIS training and certification is an asset.  
  • PGAC 100-1 Dispensing Product is an asset. 
  • Good computers skills for inventory management and working on board truck computers. 
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis.  
  • Appropriate Provincial driver’s license
