Reporting to the Market Manager, the Service Coordinator is responsible for proactively directing and dispatching the daily work schedules of Service Technicians (Gasfitters) to effectively and efficiently meet customer service needs. Utilizing logistics skills, the Service Coordinator will also review and manage orders, removing obstacles and be responsible for updating and maintaining re-occurring service orders and daily activity associated with customer service requests, regulatory and safety requirements.

The Service coordinator will be required to support the service organization in meeting its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as communicated by the Stittco management team.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Build positive relationships with all points of contact and work collaboratively to utilize available resources to successfully meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Service Technicians dispatching daily work and ensuring order fulfillment. Monitor the progress and execution of the work plans and adjust schedules to meet customers and regulatory service requests and requirements.
  • Provide customer quotes for tank installations and appliance services.
  • Review and verify daily work plans prior to dispatching to ensure route efficiencies, asset, labour and equipment preparedness.
  • Review work orders to ensure accuracy for processing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered by the Service Technician including routing or scheduling issues or conflicts, and activate fleet contingency plans when necessary.
  • Confirm and verify service appointments with customers, reschedule appointments and create recurring orders as required to meet external and internal requirements for compliance, maintenance, preventative maintenance and daily customer requests for service to increase efficiency and improve response time commitments to customers.
  • Ensure compliance in safety, training and regulatory requirements for Stittco technicians, facility’s and customers.
  • Prepare weekly service technician utilization reports and make proactive changes as needed
  • Ensure the integrity of data by maintaining accurate records of daily activities and customer locations sites.
  • Utilize standard processes and procedures to effectively manage customer and operational needs. Promote adherence to all relevant Regulatory and Safety requirements, both legislated and internal standards.
  • Review of customer feedback and take any necessary corrective actions to improve the customer experience.
  • Manage, administer and monitor inventory levels, ordering, auditing
  • Travel to various locations within the assigned geographical area to ensure facility’s and fleet operations are safe and meet regulatory requirements by conducting safety reviews and participate in monthly safety committee meetings. 
  • Perform other duties, as required.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum grade 12 education, preferably with technical certification in operations, logistics or HVAC, Plumbing/Gasfitting.
  • Experience in logistics, coordination or applicable HVAC/Gasfitting/Plumbing experience would be an asset.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Well-developed decision making and strategic thinking skills as well as highly developed analytical skills, sound judgement and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Proven customer-focused work style, with strong communication and organizational skills to meet our customer promise.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to appropriately manage your time, often while multitasking.
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite and delivery and coordination software.
  • Class 5 or greater drivers license is required.
